Sambar Masala Spice Mix
Sambar is the staple food of south India. This yellow lentil dish, is usually cooked with fresh vegetables and the most important ingredient of Sambar is the Sambar Masala. Our Sambar Masala, is created by carefully selected ingredients, freshly roasted and ground to fine powder. Coriander seeds, yellow split pigeon peas, split and skinned black gram, split Bengal gram, cumin and fenugreek form the base of the masala. To build on the base, we use mustard seeds, curry leaves, red chillies, black pepper, turmeric and asafoetida as flavor enhancing spices.
